Tugboats and Toe Shoes

This isn't entirely accurate.

I could find my name, but a Tyler was always with a stupid tugboat and never with the ballet shoes.  Whyyyyy keychain makers.  Why do you think I'm a boy?

*sigh*

These are huge life problems when you're a seven year old girl Tyler in a sea of Ashleys.

(see also:  I actually enjoyed tugboats and Tonka trucks, but that's not the issue.  I just REALLY wanted pink like my friends.  Amber and Courtney.  They got it easy.)

All of the Brook's in the world had keychains and cutesy things. Not me. Not me at all.

Aww that stinks. I am guessing there is the same issue with the name Taylor.

I can relate! Except Cori was spelled Cory or Corey and it was always a stupid boy thing like a boat, truck, etc.

Aww booo!

For me it was 50/50, people like to spell my name with two l's and one s... Silly people, it's ONE l & two s's haha.

Sadly I can't relate because I am a Courtney. But my sister's name never made it on the keychains. I guess I'm lucky?

Even though I didn't have a boy name try finding a Marcy or Marcella. It is more common now days but I am pretty sure at this point in my life I am not looking for a keychain with my name on it... or am I? LOL

my name is Helene. Helene! people don't even know how to say it. I post about that shit.

My problem was all the Jennifer keychains or name plates were always sold out since there are so many Jennifer's born in that time period.

I feel your pain. There weren't any other girl Taylors in my school (pre-k through 12) but there were boy Taylors. It used to make me so mad

I hate that any time I find a name thing, half the time they only have a "Kristen" and not a "Kristin." So annoying!!!

I actually have a female student in my 9th period class whose name is Tyler and she made me think of you! There are more of them out there!

I can totally relate! I may have a girl's name, but people, especially keychain makers, can't ever spell it correctly! It was heartbreaking when my friends Whitney and Jessica had their name on everything!

There were never any Allie's. Only Allison's. I couldn't even find one that was my name but spelled wrong... Completely feel your pain.

I'm obsessed with putting my name on things now that I'm old enough / employed enough to pay for real monogramming. Thank you Mom and Dad for giving me a fake name.

That being said, I am all about the "ambiguous" names for future babies. Tyler, Ryan, Jordan, Lindsey, Ashley - all of my favorite names could be boys or girls!

They never had Misty on anything.
